Pathfinder Tech School

Not all mission tasks can be accomplished in the air and of our search and most of rescue missions must be completed by “boots on the ground”. The Pathfinder Technical School is the Missouri Wing’s premier ground search and rescue training provider.

In the late 1970’s Lt Col John Woods initiated the concept of hosting a emergency services school in Missouri. The early Pathfinder courses were conducted at the Sedalia, MO emergency operations center and eventually found its place at Ft Leonard Wood in the Missouri Ozarks. Throughout the years the Pathfinder Technical School has provided high quality emergency services training that exceed CAP’s minimum standards.

Whether you have yet to qualify for Ground Team Member 3 (GTM-Basic), ready to earn GTM- 1 (Advanced), or aspire to become a ground team leader, Pathfinder Technical School is ready to help you take your emergency services education to the next level.

The 2019 Pathfinder Technical School will be held 13-20 July at Fort Leonard Wood. For more information visit: (external CAP operated link)
