O’Neill chosen to be next NCR Commander

Former Missouri Wing Commander, Col John O’Neill, has been selected as the next North Central Region Commander, succeeding Col Regena Aye.

The announcement came earlier today from CAP National Commander, Maj Gen Mark E. Smith, who noted, “I am pleased to announce that, from a pool of highly competitive candidates, I have selected Col John O’Neill to become the next North Central Region Commander. Col O’Neill performed admirably as the Missouri Wing Commander and has gained valuable experience at the region and national levels. His experience and demonstrated excellence will serve him well as the region commander. Col O’Neill will replace Col Regena Aye who has, by any measure, set new standards of excellence over the four years as your region commander. Please take the opportunity to congratulate Colonel O’Neill on his selection, and to thank Col Aye for her outstanding performance. The change of command is scheduled for May 22nd in conjunction with the NCR/KSWG conference. We will flex to a virtual change of command if COVID-19 restrictions are forecast to impact our having the conference.”

Please join the Wing Staff in congratulating Col O’Neill on this outstanding achievement!
