Corporate Learning Course

To MOWG Senior Members: the next Corporate Learning Course (CLC) will be held in the board room at the Springfield-Branson National Airport (SGF) on Sat & Sun, 17-18 Nov 2018.


There is no fee for CLC.  However, students are on their own for all meals and arranging over-night accommodations.

CLC is a requirement for Level III of the CAP Professional Development program.  It will focus on the relationship the CAP squadron has with the wing and help prepare students for wing level responsibilities.  CLC topics discuss how wing-level operations help to accomplish CAP’s three missions of aerospace education, emergency services, and cadet programs.  It describes the working relationships that wing staff officers have with each other, and their squadron level counterparts.

Members taking CLC should have completed Squadron Leadership School and be actively interested in learning squadron operations.  It is recommended, but not required, for CLC attendees to have been awarded Level II in the CAP Professional Development Program.  The objective of CLC is to develop a knowledgeable corporate citizen who can contribute effectively to CAP missions in a team environment.

Members interested in attending Group V CLC must register by submitting a CAPF 17 to Lt Col Steve Aubuchon, steve.aubuchon@mowgcap.org, no later than 13 Nov 2018.  We only need items 1-11 filled in and will not require a signature to enroll.  More information will be sent to interested members after 12 Nov.

Schedule:
– Sat, 17 Nov 0830 – 1730, Classes (with lunch break)
– Sun, 18 Nov 0830 – 1600, Classes (with lunch break) & Graduation

UNIFORMS – Selected uniform must comply with CAPM 39-1; Civil Air Patrol Uniform Manual

Preferred:
– Class “B”s; Long or short-sleeve blue USAF-style shirt
– White Aviator shirt
– Corporate Service Dress (navy blazer)

Acceptable:
– Corporate working uniform (navy blue or new black polo shirt)

Not authorized:
– BDUs, ABUs, Corporate Field Uniform
– USAF-style flight duty uniform (unless flying to SGF)
– Corporate-style flight duty uniform (unless flying to SGF)

We are also looking for a couple of experienced members for our instruction team, as well as a volunteer to assist with the administrative duties.  These positions are requirements for Level IV of the CAP Professional Development program.  If interested, please indicate that on the CAPF 17 in item 14.
